Lenexa's Rain Barrel Parade

Lenexa’s Rain Barrel Parade

One drop at a time
Lenexa’s Rain Barrel Parade is a public art exhibition that places rain barrels designed and decorated by local artists throughout they city. While the barrels are the same size and shape, each artist is challenged to create his or her own artistic interpretation.

This original and unusual artwork was open to the public from June 1 to July 23 at city-owned and partner locations throughout Lenexa.

Congratulations to the Lenexa Field and Garden club for winning the coveted People’s Choice Award with their barrel, “Water: Nature’s Bounty,” which was given away at Waterfest, the city’s annual water festival Aug. 26.
