How we can help
The Lenexa Police Department will assist you by unlocking your vehicle only if someone's health or safety is in jeopardy. In a non-emergency situation, we will call a locksmith for you. We are not responsible for damage done to your vehicle while attempting to unlock it. While damage rarely occurs, it is a possibility.
What to do
Contact the police dispatcher at 9-1-1 and explain your situation. If someone is locked in the vehicle and cannot unlock it by themselves, we will respond and attempt to open the vehicle. There is no fee for this service.
