Nuisance Wildlife Response
The Lenexa Police Department would like to remind residents and visitors that it is the policy of the Animal Control Unit to respond to calls for service regarding wildlife only when that wildlife is reported to be:

§ Sick or injured

§ Inside the living area of a residence

§ Creating an immediate threat to public health or safety

If you encounter injured or sick wildlife, contact Operation Wildlife at www.owl-online.org for more information.

If you encounter healthy wildlife outside your home that is causing a nuisance, refer to the Prevention and Control of Wildlife Damage Handbook on the Internet Center for Wildlife Damage Management website. You may also contact the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks at 913.422.1314, or contact a private nuisance wildlife removal agency.
