- utilization of mapping products to better understand the impact location has on outcomes
- development of mature data warehouses to support cross-department analysis – easily mix data to see trends
- statistical analysis to better understand and predict outcomes (i.e. traffic flow, crime, fire, etc.)

- software deployment to track usage and ensure viability of current fiber as well as planning future use
- mapping of all current fiber, access, partners, equipment, use and capacity
- mapping of potential partnerships for expansion without build
- plan for next build during infrastructure (roads, sewers, overhead lines) changes

Social Media Integration
Lenexa is a community that realizes excellence requires dialogue. It is of fundamental benefit that Lenexa is engaged with social media streams where we can learn about how well services are rendered and ensure accurate information is delivered to the community. Enterprise Systems and Technology is embarking on a program in 2011 to listen to social media streams and capture community sentiment as well as look at how other communities are able to deliver services in a more timely and cost-effective way. We will listen, categorize, prioritize and integrate social media streams such as Twitter, Facebook, Google and others.
In the future, we see the opportunity to participate further by providing just-in-time information for our community through these streams.
Please contact Enterprise Systems and Technology Department for more detailed information on current status or next steps.

- Presence – the ability to determine internal users’ personal availability – with access from desktops and mobile devices
