Court Services

The Court Services division supervises defendants placed on diversion, probation or parole. We strive to be an agent of accountability and empowerment for our clients by providing resources, education, supervision and sanctions. This is balanced with a drive for restorative justice to the community and citizens of Lenexa. Court Services works closely with the prosecutors, Judge, police and court clerks to ensure that each client’s needs are adequately addressed.

All clients assigned to Lenexa Court Services will be directed to attend an initial first appointment. It is at this crucial meeting that all details specific to your case will be reviewed and explained. Your first appointment will take approximately 30 minutes. The offices of Lenexa Court Services are located at 12400 W. 87th St. Parkway at the Lenexa Municipal Court.

Probation

Individuals placed on court-ordered probation are supervised by a probation officer and must comply with all conditions of probation as ordered by the Judge. Answers to most questions about probation and diversion can be found on the Important Information Sheet or Court Services FAQs.

Evaluations

Clients with drug- or alcohol-related charges may be referred for an evaluation. Evaluations may be arranged by contacting an agency listed on the Johnson County District Court list of Certified ADSAP Agencies.

Other resources

Many of the clients who come to the court’s attention are in need of resources. A full list of resources is available for residents of Johnson County and Wyandotte County. Many defendants are ordered to complete court-approved classes such as shoplifting or anger management classes.
